ABOUT THE APPRENTICE PROGRAM
The Family of Light Apprentice Program is a program in Metis Shamanism which
includes a wide range of teachings. It is a 2-6 year program & is
for those who really wish to grow & move forward with their spiritual
& healing journey. Training includes monthly lessons, one-on-one sessions, workshops,
& healing sessions with Charles. The program is suitable for local as well as a long distance students, to
be conducted in person, via email, online & telephone.
When you start on one of our distance learning courses you will be joining a worldwide family of students, colleges and practitioners working together to make life healthier.
PERSPECTIVE APPRENTICE
Dear Prospective Apprentice, we recomend that you educate yourself
about other training programs offered by various Holistic Healing centers
and make comparisons so that you can make the wisest choice for your
particular desires. We hope that the following information about our training
program will help you to choose the program that best suits your unique
needs. Metis Shamanism is a body of knowledge that helps people learn about many different foundations of Shamanism as well as develop
knowledge of various healing modalities. We have designed this program to be less focused on getting certified (though certification is a part of the program)and more focused on gaining mastery. It is a program that may challenge you and that you will be proud of completing.
CHOOSING A PROGRAM
1) Four year certificate = Metis Shamanic Practitioner
2) Six year certificate = Metis Shaman
The first 4 years of study are for the most part standard in the training techniques. The program of study will cover many healing modalities practiced by Metis Shamanic Practitioners. Knowledge & information to be included are Native American, Hawaiian, Celtic, African, South American, Asian, & many other Shamanic customs & celebrations. Advance Studies in Years 5 & 6 includes Metis Shaman teaching, & individualized programs.
EVALUATIONS & CERTIFICATION
At the end of two years an evaluation will be conducted to review the progress of the apprentice. This allows for the program of study to be tailored for each individual. Goals & achievements can be projected to enable the programs success.
At the end of 4 years a final evaluation will be conducted to discuss the skill & knowledge level attained by the apprentice during their apprenticeship. An Initiation ceremony will be conducted to install the apprentice into the position of Metis Shamanic Practitioner. A certificate of completion will then be issued. Upon reaching this level the practitioner will be eligible for advance study in the Metis Shamanic Ways. Discussion on future years of study can be projected at this time if the apprentice chooses to complete their education to become a Metis Shaman.
APPRENTICE STATEMENT
To become an apprentice is a serious undertaking that
must be approached with the humble understanding, and an open heart.
To accept this role an apprentice agrees to be honest, sincere, and
dedicated to the program of learning the practices The Family of Light use in the
teachings and work. The apprentice express' the heartfelt desire
to enter into the apprentice process, committing to a minimum of a two year program
of study, training, and monthly lessons.
APPRENTICE AGREEMENT
The apprentice agrees to the following terms and conditions:
- To pay all fees for classes, workshops, books or materials needed
during the apprentice program. Apprentices will attend all appropriate
workshops put on by The Family of Light Healing Centre.
- To an open dialogue between teachers and apprentices.
- To conduct oneself with honesty, sincerity, and with an open mind
and heart.
- To hold these teachings as sacred.
- The apprentice program is a 2 year minimum commitment.
- The apprentice has read & understands all The Family of Lights agreements & policies.

The Family of Light Healing Centre is accredited by above organization, and serves the world wide community of those seeking knowledge on healing modalities, and on world shamanism through the metis shamanism apprentice program.
