Join Tour Guide Randy Levine and Shaman Charles Lightwalker as they take you on a spiritual adventure through the land of the Inca in Peru.

The goal of the adventure is to assist the tour group on a spiritual journey of the land of the Inca?s. We will visit sacred sites and meet Shamans of the ancient ways. The group will receive the first 4 Munay-Ki Rites (Incan Shamanism), and a wisdom Circle will be available for those who choose to attend. Yoga and meditation will also be offered at certain times throughout the tour.

The tour group is limited to 12 people to ensure that we can be an intimate family of traveler?s, exploring and experiencing the vast spiritual wonders that Peru has to offer.

Your Tour Guides are:

Randy Levine has traveled extensively throughout Peru and South America- every year since 1986. He has developed important friends & contacts with local Shamans & other spiritual leaders and speaks fluent Spanish.

Shaman Charles Lightwalker has been initiated in the traditions of the Inca and other shamanic traditions. Charles has over 25 years of experience in Metis shamanic medicine ways.

 

PERUVIAN EXPEDITION ITINERARY

17 Days of Adventure

Tuesday November 18th - Thursday December 3rd 2008

Note: Due to the nature of an expedition to Peru this itinerary must remain relatively "Flexible".

Nov 18th - day 1 - Flight from Seattle - Departing in the evening

Nov 19th - day 2 - Arrive Lima approx. 6am

    • Randy/Charles will meet you in airport for arrivals
    • Transfer Hotel, rest
    • Breakfast, Lima- historic city tour afternoon
    • Open time for exploring city or relaxing

Nov 20th - day 3 - Flight Lima- Cuzco

    • Arriving Cuzco 10am transfer to hotel
    • Slow acclamation to altitude day, exploring Cuzco
    • Meet Inca Shaman/Healer Diane Dunn

Nov 21st - day 4 - Market excursion to small village of Chincheros and Pisaq

    • Private van transportation through sacred valley of the Incas, know as Urabamba
    • Returning to Cuzco in the PM, free exploring time

Nov 22nd - day 5- Day excursion of the 4 famous ruins outside Cuzco:

  • Sacsaywayman(the Incan Fortress)
  • Q?enko
  • Tambo Machay
  • Puku Pukara
  • Plus a tour of the temple of Q?oricacha- home of the Golden disk of Knowledge
  • Return to the main plaza of Cuzco at 6pm, explore, spend night

Nov 23rd - day 6 - 7am train to Aguas Calientes, approx 4 hour ride

  • Transport to hotel, lunch, hot springs, explore, spend the night

Nov 24th - day 7 - Early am ride to Macchu Picchu, arriving 8:30am

  • NOTE: we have the whole complex to ourselves until 11:30- when the tourist trains arrive.
  • Guided tour at 1pm
  • After 7 hours at site, leaving on an afternoon train (1 hour) to Ollantayambo, small village in the heart of the sacred valley. Explore more ruins, native people, spend night.

Nov 25th - day 8 - Private transportation pickup at 1-2pm, return to Cuzco, arriving approx 4pm

  • Cuzco shopping, walking exploring, rest of day
  • Chruches, monuments, foklore
  • Music concert at night

Nov 26th - day 9 - AM bus transport to Puno (on Lake Titicaca)

  • Will spend the rest of the day and night there

Nov 27th - day 10 - Boat out on Lake Titicaca

  • Stopping at Los Vros Island, the Floating reeds, on the way to Sacred Island of Amantani
  • Spending the night with families on Island (no hotels)

Nov 28th - day 11 - Mid-morning boat to the island of Taquile

  • 3-4 hours walking and exploring and eating, returning to Puna at 5-6pm
  • Transport to hotel, spend night

Nov 29th - day 12 - A.M. bus to Copacabana, Bolivia- arriving early afternoon

  • Explore town with its amazing pilgrimage church, spend night

Nov 30th - day 13 - A.M. boat to the Island of the Sun

  • All day gentle walking and exploring the Sacred Island, known for the birthplace of the First Inca Couple
  • Temple of the Jaguar
  • Return to Copacabana in the early evening, explore and spend night

Mar 4th - day 14 - Bus to Puno, arriving at lunch time

  • Afternoon tour to the Burial Ruins of Sillustani
  • Returning to Pumo 5-6pm
  • Spend night

Dec 1st - day 15 - Private transport to Juliaca from Puno

  • Flight to Lima, arriving early afternoon
  • Day open to shop, sightsee, relax, visit dentist

Dec 2nd - day 16 - Opening the Heart Ceremony

  • Discussion on trip, experiences, etc.
  • Afternoon off for sightseeing, relaxing, museum, beach, shopping in various markets, etc.
  • Final celebration of this adventure
  • Transport to Lima airport in evening, midnight flight back to U.S.

Dec 3rd - day 17 - Flight home

 

ITEMS TO BRING WITH YOU!

Bring clothing for November weather: hot ? mild - cool evenings & possible showers:

  1. Good pair of walking shoes
  2. Photocopy of your passport (as well as original)
  3. Camera, Flashlight and extra batteries
  4. Small gifts for children (e.g. pencils, crayons, stuffed animals, etc.) - optional:-)
  5. Empty daypack or bag for souvenirs/walking. Sealable plastic bags
  6. Water bottle (safe bottled water is available)
  7. Sun block, Aspirins, Medications for diarrhea, general first aid
  8. Photocopy of any prescriptions (including glasses)
  9. Swiss army knife, flashlight
  10. Address book Photocopy of important papers.
  11. Personal information, emergency contacts, medical declarations, and any special needs or concerns
  12. Lightweight rain jacket
  13. Money belt
  14. Medicine gifts for the shamans we will meet (tobacco, sage, a stone)

To Do List

1) Current Tetanus Shot

2) U.S. Passport with at least 6 months validity. Photocopy of passport

3) Make sure someone in the U.S. also has a copy of your passport and itinerary.

Leave It Home

Common sense says to leave "anything illegal" at home

Make sure your prescriptions are documented

It is recommended that you do not "appear like a rich "American tourist"

Sure, no matter what you do you will be an obvious tourist to locals, however, try not to wear lots of precious jewelry, chic expensive clothing or openly display fancy designer gadgets.

What to Expect

A magical/spiritual journey, which can open the heart of the traveler and awaken the spiritual essence of their soul. On this journey you will meet Shamans and spiritual people who walk their talk and live their lives from a place of love.

Special Ceremony

There can be arranged a special ceremony to experience the sacred Ayahuasca if people are interested. The ceremony uses 2 sacred herbs - one that gives strength, and one that allows for visions. The ceremony will cost $50.00 per person, and it will occur at the end of the tour only if enough people are interested. The ceremony will be done in the presence of a Shaman trained in the use of Ayahuasca.
